Artist Abdulaziz Saleh Makhyoun :
 
Born in 1943, at Hammamy Village, Abu-Hommos. As a Cinema actor and Theatre director, he was graduated from The Institute of Theatrical Arts, then joined the Egyptian TV Theatrical Troupe.
By the seventies of the previous century, he had established a theatrical troupe called 'Elfallaheen', before he traveled to study theatre in Paris. he starred many shows in theatre, and he has distinguished serials in TV such as 'Traveling Through Dreams', 'Nights Of Helmeya' and the very Famous Kids serial 'Journey With The Fox'.

Martyr: Gawad Ali Hosney:


Born on 20th. April, 1935, at Ali Hosney Village, Abu-Hommos. As the commander of Cairo Law School shock troops, he participated in the 1956 war against Zionism. and before he was killed, he insisted on fighting a French battalion alone during the nights of 15th and 16th November 1956. He showed them a dreadful courage on fighting that embarrassed them before he had fainted of exhaustion and been captured. He was detained, questioned and tortured by the French until death in Port Foad on 2nd, December 1956, as he mentioned in his memo.

Abdulaziz Pasha Makhyoun:
Born at Demesna Village, Abu-Hommos. Member of the Liberation Authority after the 1952 revolution and member of the parliament. He donated to build the first preparatory school for Girls in Abu-Hommos and a ward in the boys' preparatory school.

Abdulaziz Pasha Fathey:

Born in Berkat Ghattas Village, Abu-Hommos. The First board chairman of the Rakta Paper Co. and a previous headmaster of the Military Academy.

Professor Eng.: Ebraim Zaki Quinawey:

Born in Kom Elkanater, Abu-Hommos. Minister of watering March 1968-1971.

Ahmad Khairy Pasha:

Born in 1907 at Alexandria city, and spent most of his life and died on 12th,October 1967 in his garden at Balakter, Abu-Hommos. As an ingenious writer and poet, he kept the holy Quran and studied the Islamic jurisprudence and history, and a number of languages such as: English, French, Italian and Turkish.

Artist, Painter: Mohammad Pick Nagy:


Born on 17th, January 1888 at Maharam Pick, Alexandria and spent a period of his life in Demesna Village, Abu-Hommos. He was the first to study the Plastic Arts academically at Florence City from 1910 to 1914, after he had studied Law at Leon from 1906 to 1910.

He contributed on establishing many associations and studios to gather the Artists, Plastic Painters and Writers such as: Alexandria Atelier in 1935, Cairo Atelier in 1952 (he was its chairman), Club Of Art in 1941 and The Querna Studio at Luxor in 1941.
taking over many responsibilities, he was nominated as the first Egyptian chairman for The Higher School Of Arts, The Cairo Modern Arts Museum from 1939 to 1947 and The Egyptian Academy Of Arts in Rome from 1947 to 1950.
